Being your mom is the best part of me. ♥️

Motherhood has rewritten me in the sweetest ways. I’m slower to speak, more inclined to wait in silence, more willing to let the moment be enough. I notice the light through the window more. I laugh easier. I cry quicker. I hold space for both joy and ache. & I’m learning to see God in all of it.

I was made to mother.
My body was made to sustain life.
My breath was made to follow his.
My heart was made to expand, to break open and hold more than I thought possible.
My mind to fix on what is unseen, to wonder, to remember truth when the day feels long.

Everything I am was made for motherhood.
& I am blessed.

There’s still more of me unfolding. But I know who I am here, and my heart is so full. 🫶🏽

We dedicated Leo to the Lord recently, and it was such a sweet and sacred moment in our family’s story. 🤍🕊️✨

“I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of Him. So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given over to the Lord.” 1 Samuel 1:27-28

Like Hannah with Samuel, we recognize that Leo is a gift from God, and we’re committed to raising him in a home where Jesus is loved, known, and followed. Dedicating him was our way of saying out loud what our hearts already knew: Leo belongs to the Lord, and we will do all we can to point him back to the One who made him.

We’re so grateful for @geraldfadayomi for leading this moment with such care, and for being more than a pastor to us. He’s family, and we love that Leo has him in his corner for life.

And to our siblings @reelin_em_in and @jesse.faber — your presence meant more than you know. Thank you for showing up, for celebrating Leo, and for being part of this day we’ll always remember. Leo is so blessed to have you both as Tia & Tio.

My Bible study time looks a little different these days.

I bought this Illustrating Bible last year to fill its margins with prayers, notes, and sketches. But today, Leo decided to add an illustration of his own — drool and crumpled paper.

Pre-baby, type-A Gabi might’ve panicked. But this version of me? She’s learning to embrace the beauty in the mess. Because I get to sit with Jesus while He holds not just me, but Leo too.

He’s been unraveling my need for control for years, gently teaching me to be still. And now? He’s doing so much more than I ever asked for.

Leo’s fingerprints on these pages will one day fade — but the way Jesus is writing this season into my heart? That will stay forever.

Today, I’m just sitting in awe, marveling at His Word and watching it come alive in front of me.

To the mama longing for quiet time with Jesus…

I know it’s hard. The rhythms you once knew, the plans you had, the hours you used to spend with the Lord…they likely flew out the window the moment that sweet baby arrived.

But what if quiet just looks different in this season for a reason?

These days, I’m lucky to sit for five uninterrupted minutes. But I’m learning this: Jesus still meets me here. In the noise. In the exhaustion. In the middle of the mess.

Maybe your quiet time is a 3AM whisper over your baby. Maybe it’s a breath of thanks in a giggle or a snuggle. Maybe it’s worship through lullabies and bedtime stories.

This season of quiet chaos won’t last forever. But until it shifts, remember: Jesus isn’t waiting for silence. He’s already here — right in the middle of it all.

We also took a moment to declare promises over his life that we pray he’ll carry with him as he grows. So to celebrate 4 months today, here’s 4 promises we’re still speaking from that sweet day:

Have you ever looked back on your life and thought “wow, how did I get through that?” I’m finding that as each day goes by, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude at where I am versus where I’ve been. The past 5 years have shown me that not only does God turn stories around, but he redeems time, and restores joy, laughter, love, and hope.

Those struggles you thought would hold you back? They’re actually setting you up for the joy set ahead. The control you finally let go of? It’s leaving you open for freedom to come.

So if you’re reading this, trust with me that everything works out. & the honest answer is, you’ll be more than fine. Because when you have faith that God works everything out for your good, you won’t just be fine, you’ll thrive.

I’ve been singing more hymns lately and this one is so sweet to my soul. I love the sweet reminder that the more I focus on Him, the more everything else seems to fade away. It’s easy to be consumed by the every day — the distractions, the uncertainties, the anxieties — but in looking to Him we find peace beyond our circumstances. So ultimately, I’m learning that hymns are not just songs to sing, but a posture to embrace.

“Turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full in His wonderful face
& the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of his glory & grace.”

Hebrews 12:2: “…fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith.”

Soaking in the weekend with @voyage.camps & @hcythroswell. God did exceedingly and abundantly more than we could’ve even thought to pray for.

& my little Leo did ministry with his mama all weekend. We sang, we danced, we prayed, we rested. & we stood in awe of the way @timbenitez led. Blessed is an understatement. Thank you Jesus. ♥️

All I want for 2025 is more of this. ♥️

2024 was a year of blessing & breaking. I had the privilege of carrying my sweet boy this year. & at the same time, I’ve never been so sick and struggling. I learned to truly surrender this year, but partially because I didn’t have a choice. I fought some hard mental battles, but everything feels clearer now. I craved a better version of myself, but often found myself grasping for it.

After a hard start to the year, I began asking the Lord to make me gentle. I didn’t want to be the tough guy anymore. I wanted to be a safe space, a warm feeling, more kind and caring. & man, was I stretched to become that woman. Stretched, but sanctified.

So in this new year, I’m not doing a word of the year, or writing out a bunch of goals. I’m instead asking the Lord to continue to keep me soft. To keep His way the priority over my own. To sustain me as whole in every part of my life — marriage, ministry, motherhood, and more.

May my life be a sweet reflection of what taking a deep breath feels like, what sitting quietly with my baby looks like, and what the love of Jesus is like.

To 2025. 🎉

40+4 today. Little man decided to take his sweet time, but our induction is scheduled for Thursday, so he’ll be here soon. As we wait, I’m thinking on what has become our family verse. Growing up, I had this verse on a sticky note in my mirror and read it daily. Turns out, Tim also had it framed on a sheet of paper that he read daily. When a friend asked us a few months ago what our family verse was, we just knew. So as we wait, and experience all the anticipation, nervousness, and excitement of these final days as 2 becoming 3, I’m reminded of these words:

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua‬ ‭1‬:‭9‬ ‭NIV‬‬

What a journey it’s been — the joy and the pain. They tell me I’ll forget, but I don’t necessarily want to. Even with the sickness that lasted til 32 weeks. Even with the identity crisis. Because in this I grew closer to Jesus. I fell more in love with my husband as he became a tender caretaker. I learned to slow down and be more gentle with myself and others.

As I’ve prepared for his birth, little did I know I’d also be birthing a new me. Thank you Lord. 🫶🏽

So in awe of the sisterhood of women God has surrounded me with. I’ve prayed for “Godly girlfriends” for the last 10 years, and in this season He’s brought the sweetest women: the same age, younger, and older. Moving to another state & starting a family is definitely overwhelming, and today I was held so tightly by a village of women who have turned into sisters, moms, and aunties. I can’t wait to bring baby boy into the world surrounded by this kind of love. ♥️

To every woman in the room today — pictured or not — and to those unable to make it today: thank you. Thank you for making Roswell home. Thank you for loving me and Tim. For opening your hearts and homes to our growing family. & most importantly, thank you for keeping us wrapped in prayer and encouraged in the Lord.

A special shoutout to @kileyfad & @susannaakennedy, you two are a dream. Thank you for investing into celebrating me through the sweet giftings the Lord has given you. I adore you both 🫶🏽

Moving to another state & starting a family is definitely overwhelming, and today I was held so tightly by a village of women who have turned into sisters, moms, and aunties. I can’t wait to bring baby boy into the world surrounded by this kind of love. ♥️

To every woman in the room today — pictured or not — and to those unable to make it today: thank you. Thank you for making Roswell home. Thank you for loving me and Tim. For opening your hearts and homes to our growing family. & most importantly, thank you for keeping us wrapped in prayer and encouraged in the Lord.

I’ve been wanting to make a sweet pregnancy update, but to be honest it’s been a journey that has been rough for me. I’ve had a very difficult 16 weeks, from all day sickness to total exhaustion to completely feeling the life drained out of me and more. Most days have been a full on fight.

I’m not sure why this isn’t talked about more — maybe the guilt of “the backside of a blessing” — but I needed to hear that I wasn’t alone. I watched so many happy pregnancy videos or people talking that their nausea/pain/etc lasted only a couple weeks that it made me feel like something was wrong with me. Why am I so sick? Why haven’t I felt like myself? Where is the joy?

I’m still going through it, so I’m here to say you’re not alone if you are too. My prayers lately have been to find joy in the here and now, to be grateful for the way my body is working, and for God to be more present than ever.

So yes, this may be a fight, but one I know that’s not only worth it in the end, but worth it in the now. We’re more than conquerors.

I accidentally took a month long posting hiatus. It’s been a wild thirty+ days of some of life’s sweetest moments and some of the hardest. What I’ve known to be true throughout it all is that Jesus is so worthy of the highest praise. Regardless of health or illness, joy or sadness, rest or readiness, He’s my sustainer. He’s the one who calls me to each day. & I never want to miss the wander of His majesty. These thirty+ days my heart cry has simply been “holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God almighty.” Thank you Jesus.

If you’ve been having a day (or week, or month), know that Jesus is with you in it. He sees the weariness and is ready to lift your head. He longs to hold you and sit with you. & when you’re ready, He’ll stand and walk with you too, and help you to soar again.

”Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.“
